VisualSearch

With VisualSearch we want to give an outlook on how search engines in the future might operate. With this application you can use alternative search methods like drawing to find what you're looking for more quickly. It would also include a new and smarter AI, understanding what you draw from all different angles and comparing it to existing objects on the internet. After a change in your drawing the search results will update in real time. VisualSearch would be compatible with all devices and it's interface is simple and easy to understand. The video shows how a user might use and navigate through VisualSearch.

Scenarios

The user can find results by drawing, taking a photo or a simple text search. The following sketches show where and when VisualSearch can be convenient to use. In every scenario the engine would make the search more quick and effective, satisfying the user's needs.

Functionality

The user has the option to draw directly onto the interface or search for already drawn objects.
Let's say a user has made a sketch inside a drawing software and he wants to search for a specific
portion of that drawing. Using two fingers the user can circle this portion and VisualSearch will offer
to search for this selection.

From there, VisualSearch will take you to your goal as quick as possible.

A new Data Format

To realize this idea we would need to develop a new data format to make it easier for the AI to get accurate search results.

This data format would include a 3D-model of the object as well as detailed meta-information. That way the image can be recognized from different angles.
